Outlook and Dart overview

Use Dart alongside Outlook to update your emails and calendar with relevant document and task information from Dart. This integration will enable you to stay organized and efficient with your project management needs.

What is Outlook?

Outlook, often referred to as Microsoft Outlook, is a personal information manager from Microsoft, available as a part of the Microsoft Office suite. Though primarily an email application, Outlook also includes a calendar, task manager, contact manager, note-taking, journal, and web browsing.

It can be used as a stand-alone application for solo use cases, or with multiple users in an organization, such as via shared mailboxes and calendars. Microsoft has also released mobile applications for most mobile platforms, including iOS and Android. In addition, a web-based version of Outlook is offered as part of Office 365 and Outlook.com, which is a free email service for personal use.

Dart Outlook integration setup

You can set up an integration so that tasks in Dart that have associated dates appear on your Outlook calendar. To use the Outlook integration first enable the Zapier integration in settings. Then create a new Zap and set the event trigger to task update, and specifically for when a due date (or some other date property) is updated. Then set the event action to create a calendar event in Outlook. You will need to connect your Outlook to Zapier in order to complete this setup process.

Alternatively you can connect Outlook to Dart in order to take advantage of more email automations. For example, using Zaps you can easily create email drafts whenver docs are created in Dart. Give it a try!
